Step one: Find an item you want

Step two: Purchase said item

Step three: Have UPS lose the item for several days

Step four: File a claim with eBay

Step five: Hope UPS finds your package and delivers it to you

Step six: Don’t tell eBay that you got your item..... just wait it out

Step seven: eBay is retarded and even when the seller sends MULTIPLE MESSAGES to you and eBay through the Resolution Center that the item has been delivered and the case can be closed.... THEY WILL FIND IN YOUR FAVOR AND SEND YOU YOUR MONEY BACK FROM THE SELLER’S PAYPAL ACCOUNT.

Boom. Free item.

Unless the seller is like me and calls eBay and bitches them out the second they got the e-mail that the case was closed and the money refunded.

I bought an e28 steering wheel off of ebay cause I was thinking about swapping wheels on my steering wheel table. Anyways about a month or two after it had been delivered, ebay sent me a message saying that I never received the item and would be getting a refund. I obviously got the item and never filed a complaint or anything, I think I even left feedback. Without me doing anything, which why would I, they gave my money back. I figured the seller would’ve reached out to me, but since they never did, I didn’t do anything.

LEL

I once ordered a motherboard for a PC I was building and was sent two....

I ordered a steering wheel with cruise control buttons in it (according to the listing AND pictures of the wheel) to add cruise to my P71 and when it came, there were no buttons. The seller e-mailed a response to my “Where my buttons at?” query and bitched and moaned how he barely made any money, couldn’t afford to find them and ship them, yadda yadda....

But I got my buttons when I threatened to open a case.

That was YEARS ago though. Now, eBay always seems to side with the buyer.

I still have a “broken” die cast model of Christine at home because the seller claimed I sent it broken and UPS was like “It wasn’t us!” then filed a claim with eBay that the item was “Not as described - BROKEN” even though it was most likely damaged in shipping or by the buyer themselves. But at least I got it back so I can try to resell it. Should have known she was cursed.

That’s not a very accurate model.

I tried to push it around on the carpet to see if it’d fix itself....

One time I sold a CD boxed set on eBay, and while it was in transit the buyer decided they didn’t want it anymore and refused to accept it. I don't accept returns, so when came back to me with no tracking or anything, I just sat on it. They filed a claim, I said I shipped it, they didn't have tracking info for the return and mine showed it was delivered. I've actually still got that box set, though the $50 I got for it was probably spent on McDonalds or booze.

STEP Eight: Open a case on your next item, and have your ebay account terminated for life. Every account with your address. Your sibling, parents, wife, gf’s, roomates account will also be terminated if they have the same mailing address.

It’s not as simple just creating a new account either. You need a different physical address, different email address, different paypal account linked to a different bank account. Oh and let’s not forget a different IP address. You’ll have to signup for a private VPN to not be detected and shutdown again.
